DualBRIDGE Waterjet Systems
OMAX recently released its new DualBRIDGE System option for large-table OMAX JetMachining Centers and the entry-level MAXIEM™ product line.
The DualBRIDGE System configuration allows the inclusion of a second Y-bridge on the machine to boost efficiency and flexiblility with abrasive waterjet cutting. An operator can program the independent cutting heads to produce separate parts or work in tandem to cut one large part, significantly increasing the machine capacity.
Such an increase allows more shops, from sheet metal fabricators to trade schools, to benefit from industry-standard performance at an incredible value.The latest high-performance, low-cost MAXIEM machines fall within the 2000 Series, 3000 Series and 4000 Series.

OMAX Precision Optical Locator (POL) - an accessory combining hardware and software technology, allows you to determine the location of parts on the machining table or features on existing parts or materials.
The POL includes a compact video camera mounted to the Z-axis to precisely locate points, edges or holes on a piece of material placed on the OMAX cutting table. The accessory's software is intergrated with Intelli-MAX Make, providing you the interface to view the live video feed from the camera and apply application tools to measure and locate features.

EBBCO Closed Loop System - A metalworking filtration solution designed for industrial use with OMAX JetMachining Centres.
This system reduces water consumption and minimises dissolved solids from going down the drain (clean overflow water is reused).
The EBBCO Closed Loop System can be operated with optional reverse osmosis and softener systems, or other water treatment devices.

Ideal for machining large-scale components or multiple-part projects, the OMAX 80X JetMachining Center is a bridge-style machine with a table size of 15 feet x 7 feet 5 inches (4,572 millimeters x 2,261 millimeters). Since this is one of OMAX's larger machines, the DualBRIDGE System is available as an option for increased machining capacity.
 
Featuring an X-Y cutting travel of 13 feet 4 inches x 6 feet 8 inches (4,064 millimeters x 2,032 millimeters), the OMAX 80X has the ability to cut a wide variety of materials, including ceramics, composites, plastic, glass and stone, as well as metals such as aluminum, tool steel, stainless steel, mild steel and titanium with an accuracy of motion up to +/- 0.003 inches (0.076 millimeters).
 
The exclusive Intelli-TRAX® drive system on the OMAX 80X brings high levels of accuracy to abrasive waterjet machining and makes the machine a robust and reliable system capable of handling harsh environments. Additionally, Intelli-TRAX provides faster traverse speeds than traditional drive systems and greatly reduces processing times when machining multiple and nested parts.
The OMAX 80X also comes standard with the OMAX Intelli-MAX® Software Suite, which runs on the Windows® 7 Ultimate operating system. The system can calculate the precision of the velocity of a tool path at over 2,000 points per inch, allowing for complete control over the motion of an abrasivejet, and enabling precise, rapid machining.

NEW Larger format OMAX tables

New OMAX Jetmachining centres for larger installations are available from October 2011.

OMAX have launched the 160X series featuring Omax intelli-MAX technology - available with mutiple bridges and multi nozzle configuration.

The new 160X-3 features the largest cutting table of any OMAX with a full working area of 4,062mm X 14,224mm.

OMAX now offer the ultra accurate bridge style intelli-TRAX driven Jetmachining centres from as small as 1,500mm x 3,000mm (60120) up to a large 4 metre x 14.2 metre (160X-3).

This coupled with the latest Enduro-MAX technology will enable OMAX customers to stay ahead of the competition time after time.
